Organ Donation Numbers 2017

This week, the 2017 organ donation numbers were released with Victoria leading the country with a record breaking 148 donors; the highest number by any state on record!

There were a total of 510 deceased organ donors and 273 living organ donors who saved and transformed the lives of 1,675 transplant recipients.

There were many news stories in the media on Tuesday and Wednesday of transplant recipients and how life changing their organ transplant has been for them and how thankful they are to their donor and donor family.
