Donating the Gift of Life - Lunch with Professor Bob Jones - and three journalists who made the cut!

Last year a record 1447 Australians received life-saving organ transplants through the generosity of deceased donors and their families. Australia is now a world leader in successful transplant outcomes. But much more needs to be done to encourage donations that have the potential to save thousands more lives.

Join us for a special media lunch with world renowned transplant surgeon Professor Bob Jones , head of the Austin Hospital Liver Unit, and a panel of leading journalists with a unique perspective on the issue.

Senator Derryn Hinch, business journalist Tom Skotnicki and photographer Andrew Chapman are all alive today because of liver donations - and the surgical skills of Bob Jones and his colleagues.

This event, in support of DonateLife week, will be moderated by the distinguished medical journalist Julia Medew, former health editor of The Age.
