Important - Post Transplant Medication Prescriptions

The fantastic success and growth in transplants over the last few years has resulted in an increasing demand on our post transplant clinic service. Clinics are now heavily overbooked, reducing the amount of time that the doctors
have to spend with patients.

We have therefore come to the decision to request that wherever possible prescriptions for routine medications (ie BP meds, cholesterol meds, diabetes meds) be provided by your local medical practitioner rather than the LiverTransplant Outpatient Clinic.

We will also ask GPs to take greater responsibility for routine checkups and management of non complex medical
problems.
